Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1 each star anise
  • 1 each whole clove
  • 1/2 tsp black peppercorn
  • 1/2 each cinnamon stick
  • 1 each cardamom pod
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger chopped
  • 2 2/3 cup whole milk or milk of choice
  • 2 ech Darjeeling tea bags
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Instructions

  • Combine water, star anise, clove, peppercorns, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger in a large pot and bring to a simmer. Steep for 20 minutes. Add whole milk (or milk alternative) and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and sugar, steep for 20 more minutes. Using fine mesh strainer, strain out spices and enjoy.
